What I do every day... As publications
manager, my job entails overseeing the collation, checking, and approving
the survey data that ultimately finds its way into our publications.
After analysis of the survey results, I summarise our findings in Rode’s
range of publications — most of which are under my editorship.
I am also involved in the compilation of our two time
series databases, the writing of our monthly newsletter,
and consultation work. Having previously
worked in our valuations department for close on three years, I still try and speak to these colleagues
as much as possible, as their daily experiences are an excellent source
of market intelligence, providing me with greater perspective when writing
our publications.
And about me… Before joining Rode
I was involved in corporate (movable asset) finance, and before that I
worked in the short-term domestic insurance industry.
On a more personal note, I enjoy cooking and spending time
with friends and family. As far as sport is concerned, I love to fish,
and try to get to the waters at least once a week. Being a property economist
I am, of course, naturally curious, and therefore quite fond of reading
as well (provided it’s not fiction).
