Get insight in an instant

Rode's Growth Points offers you an instant spatial overview of growth and stagnation areas in nine South African cities.

This new electronic publication from independent property specialists Rode & Associates comprises a CD with an interactive map that will allow you to zoom in on a particular city and to see the spatial view (map) of growing and stagnating areas based on various criteria. You will also get an instant overview of all the growth points as areas are colour-coded to distinguish between high-growth and low-growth areas.

The Rode's Growth Points CD also includes a report with an extensive interpretation of the spatial patterns of each city shown on the interactive map.

The benefits of Rode's Growth Points

Rode's Growth Points, updated once a year, offers you the following features:

  • The must-have twins for smart investment strategies: Rode's Growth Points identifies areas of growth and stagnation in order to guide investment strategy. And it complements Rode's South African Property Trends, which comprises 6-year forecasts of the crucial value drivers by city and property type. Together with Rode's South African Property Trends, this is the ultimate tool in the hands of management for determining investment strategy. In sum, Rode's South African Property Trends determines the timing of non-residential property investments while Rode's Growth Points determines the optimal geographic location of such investments.
  • Information made accessible: The interactive maps, which offer a spatial view of crucial location drivers, as well as the accompanying interpretational report, will provide you with accessible, well-researched information.
  • Wide footprint: Rode's Growth Points covers nine South African cities – Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit and Polokwane.

New in the 2008/9 issue:

  • The proposed Bus Rapid Transit systems in some cities are discussed
  • Spatial planning in Durban and Johannesburg is discussed in some detail
  • Comments from brokers on our panel about particular areas
  • Municipal planning factors such as Urban Development Zones have been included in the maps

Who will benefit from Rode's Growth Points?

All CEOs, general management, fund investment managers and analysts will benefit from knowing where the hot (and frigid!) spots are. If you are tasked with investment/disinvestment strategy, you cannot do without this information

Is it user friendly?

The mapping component is an intuitive, interactive tool, and the interpretation report is written in succinct English; nevertheless, we offer subscribers a free introductory training session in their offices.
